I’m pregnant, will I have to drop out of Uni?
It will mostly depend on what you want to do and what stage of your course you are in. The main things to consider are whether you feel you can continue with your studies with maternity leave factored in, or whether you want to suspend your studies for longer or even choose not to return.
If you want to continue your studies then the University aims to be as flexible as possible to support you and make sure you can continue your course. It’s about finding a way that works for you.
There is a lot of support to help you make the decision that is right for you. To find out about your options for your studies, have a chat to your Personal Tutor or Student Support Officer on any changes they could make to help you continue to study.
For any practical help and support, e.g. financial and childcare options or just a confidential chat about your options before you talk to your department call into LUU Advice. We can help run through your options, make sure you’re getting all the financial support you can and share information about childcare and other assistance.
