Will all the best houses go first?
Simply put, nope.
Unless you’re looking for the following accommodation, then you may want to start earlier:
- Family accommodation
- Disabled provisions
- An 8 bed+ house
For everything else, Leeds has a huge amount of good quality places for rent so don’t be fooled when some landlords say "the good ones go early". In fact, students who begin house hunting in November/December tend to be offered the landlord's ‘poorer’ places as they know you are willing to get something sorted quickly.
House hunting season generally kicks off officially at the end of January and even then there are plenty of properties, you can still get a good one if you sign up in May or June and you’ll probably be able to negotiate yourself a better deal.
