Can I get maternity, paternity or adoption pay from my job?
Maternity Pay
When you take time off because you are having a baby, you have legal rights about your pay and other benefits.
There are statutory legal minimums and you are usually protected from discrimination by equalities legislation.
To check the amounts of statutory or contractual maternity pay, refer to the HMRC website.
If you have not accrued 26 weeks paid employment by the end of the 15th week before the baby is due to qualify for statutory maternity pay, you may still qualify for maternity allowance.
Paternity & Adoption Pay
