Do I get holiday pay at work?
Almost all workers should legally get 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday per year (called statutory leave entitlement or annual leave). An employer can include bank holidays as part of statutory annual leave.
When you start your new job, you should get information on how much holiday you’re allowed (if you have a holiday entitlement), how to request it, when you can take it and how much you have left for the rest of the holiday year.
If you’re being paid weekly you should check your contract and handbook for information on holiday pay.
