I’ve got a letter about attendance problems, can you help?

If there’s a problem with your attendance your School/ Department should contact you to find out why this is. Based on the frequency or seriousness of the attendance problem, your School may write to you.

The letter should explain why they are contacting you and what they expect you to do next.

If you receive a letter relating to a problem with your attendance, get in touch with us at LUU Advice and we can support you. We can help you to understand what the contents of the letter means, support you in responding to the letter and explore the issues which may be affecting your attendance.

It is important you respond to the letter and don't just ignore it as this may be the first in a series of formal stages which can result in you being asked to leave the University.
