Are you interested in a career in surgery? Have you found our events useful this year? Are you passionate about Cutting Edge and want to get Involved?

This is the Cutting Edge AGM, where any students who are interested in surgery can nominate themselves to have a seat on the surgical society committee!

Being part of the committee is an excellent CV opportunity for those interested in surgery. If you have ideas to bring to the table, and are committed to joining us, then your nomination would be very well received. 

Joining requires commitment and dedication. All committee members will be expected to attend regular meetings, as well as organise and support our output. 

Our aim is to inspire and inform future surgeons and we are very proud of our track record, winning 'Best Medical Society' and ‘Best Academic Society’ at the university in recent years.

All students who nominate themselves, should attend the in-person AGM on Thursday 1st May 5:30-8pm in Western LT G.01 (building next to Business School). Nominees should deliver a 2-3 minute speech outlining why they are suitable to the role they are applying for. Due to time limits, talks will be limited to a maximum of 3 minutes. If you are unable to attend this event, please email cuttingedge.uoleeds@gmail.com where we can arrange for you to join via Teams or provide a pre-recorded video. Students are encouraged to make every-effort to attend this.

Students can nominate themselves for more than 1 role, however, you would need to decide which role you would like to continue with if you are elected to both. The other role will be re-elected in an EGM early in the next academic year.
