It is nearly time to select our new committee😆😆

There is a document attached on the Facebook Page with all the committee roles you can nominate yourself for, make sure you read through them so you know what each role involves. Please read the document carefully and apply for a role that will suit and excite you!

To apply for a role, you must do the following:

1.   Get two members from the club to nominate you, at least one of them must be on committee. The committee member will PROPOSE you and the other person just has to SECOND you.
2. Write and upload your manifesto to engage outlining: the role you are going for, the 2 people nominating you and a bit about why you think you're suited to the role. This must be completed by 1st May 6pm.
3. Prepare for the AGM, you will need to give a 3-5 minute speech about why you are suitable for the role. The person proposing you will also say why they think you are a good candidate for the role.

Welfare Secretaries are chosen by current Exec and Welfare, rather than an election on Engage. Please email your manifestos to luuwrufc@hotmail.com and remember to add who is proposing and seconding you.

Key Dates 📆

• 14th April - Nominations OPEN to submit your manifestos on Engage
• 2nd May - AGM (Location and Time TBC), we will hear everyone’s manifestos
• 2nd May 6pm - Voting OPENS
• 4th May 6pm - Voting CLOSES and the new committee is announced 🥳🥳

Top tips:

•   Speak to people who are currently doing the role you want to find out a bit more
• You can only apply for ONE role, so choose wisely
• You can only nominate 1 person per role or second 1 person per role
• DON'T BE SCARED TO PUT YOURSELF FORWARD!!

Being on committee is really exciting, it’s a great opportunity to get more involved in the club and looks great on your CV! Please don’t be put off going for a role because someone else is, there are surprises every year!
