AGM is on the 4th May (Time and Location TBC) 

IMPORTANT‼️

There are a couple changes to the committee for 26/27. The role previousy known as Vice Club Captain is being changed to Club Secretary. The tasks of the role are the exact same and this change is just to make life easier with the Union. 

There is a new role being added: TOUR SEC!! The tour secretaries job is quite self-explanatory and it is to organise tour ✈️🍹🌊 

HOW TO NOMINATION YOURSELF:

• You need one committe member to PROPOSE you and then another person within the club to SECOND you (Please write this at the top of your manifesto) 
• You need to write a manifesto outlining why you would be good for the role and what you would like to implement. This must be uploaded to the Engage Election by the 4th May 12pm
• Prepare for the AGM: You will give a short speech outlining your manifesto and convincing others to vote for you

The AGM is being held on the 4th May in the afternoon (Exact Time and Location TBC). At the AGM, we will hear everyones manifestos alongside a short speech from everyone proposing people for roles. Its a great chance to learn more about why someone is running for a role. A good speech will win you votes on the election!

• April 10th 12pm nominations OPEN
• May 4th 12pm nominations CLOSE
• May 4th AGM
• May 4th 8pm voting OPENS
• May 8th 8pm voting CLOSES and new committee is announced 🥳🥳

Welfare secretaries are chosen slightly differently to the other roles and only Exec and current Welfare vote on this. There is a separate Welfare Election where all candidates running for this must upload there manifesto. You will still be required to do a speech at the AGM.

TOP TIPS 🫦

• Reach out to people who have done the role
• Choose wisely and you can only apply for ONE role
• Committee can only propopse one person per role, and second one person per role so dont be disheartened if they are already proposing someone else! 
• PUT YOURSELF FORWARD!! There are surprises every year so please apply even if you know someone else going for the role. It looks great on your CV and you get to make real change within the club.
