School Health and Conduct Panel

If your case goes to the School Health and Conduct Panel you will be invited to a hearing. The options this Panel has available are:

  • Referral for treatment or counselling
  • Seek and act upon reports from professionals such as Occupational Health and Psychiatry (as necessary)
  • Temporary suspension
  • Reflective work, such as assignments to help develop your understanding of the importance of professionalism

If the School Panel feels that none of these options would resolve the concerns, your case will be referred to the University Committee on Student Health and Conduct with a recommendation of exclusion from your programme.

If this happens you will be fully informed and you will be sent the case papers that the University Panel will see. You will also be asked to write a statement addressing the issues raised.

If you are unhappy with the outcome given by your School, you can appeal to the University Committee. See our related articles for how to appeal.

Speak to one of our Advisors if your case is referred and we can support you.
