I’m a Postgraduate and I’d like to teach but I’m having problems accessing opportunities, can you help?

The University is not obliged to give you a teaching role but access to roles should be provided fairly.

Your School should advertise if teaching roles are available. You can register an interest and should then be added to a pool of interested students. You’ll get written confirmation of your registration.

At the start of the year, any teaching opportunities will be sent to all students on the register. The selection procedure will include an assessment to check you have suitable skills and experience. Your supervisor will also be asked to comment on any likely impact on your studies.

If you’re concerned about access to roles, speak to LUU Advice, your PGR rep or your trade union.
