For your society, governance relates to the structure and processes for decision making, accountability, control, and behaviour from the committee. Great governance enables the committee to provide key leadership and direction for the society, creating happy members and a sustainable society that generates a positive impact for years to come.

At the start of the academic year, you will need to review and sign your society constitution. As you will see from reading the constitution, your society is its own entity for the committee to govern and provide leadership and this document provides you and your members with the foundations to then embed your processes, planning, and performance management throughout the year.
