About Group

HOMED run weekly projects throughout the term, visiting hostels to partake in social activities with residents as well as distributing sandwiches and other supplies to rough sleepers around the city.

As part of HOMED you can help make a difference to the homeless in Leeds! We offer training and have existing relationships with four hostels where we cook, host ‘entertainment evenings’ and talk to tenants with a friendly and compassionate ear.

Our two main goals are to make a difference to the lives of homeless individuals in Leeds and to educate students about the issues surrounding homelessness, challenging prejudice and stereotypes.

Weekly projects

Each week we organise four hostel visits and a sandwich run. We hold training sessions throughout the year, alternatively you can find our online hostel training at www.homedleeds.org/hostel-training .

Our membership is FREE and we welcome all students keen to make a difference!
