Emergency Medicine Society

Welcome to Emergency Medicine Society

My idea is to create and develop an Emergency Medicine society at the University of Leeds to increase awareness of this specialty and encourage more healthcare students to learn and get involved with emergency medicine. Furthermore, I would like to develop the society by collaborating with other societies like Leeds University St John’s Ambulance Society and Leeds University Trauma and Orthopaedics Society and the surgical society Cutting Edge to run in person engaging and interactive events for students. Additionally, collaborating with emergency charities to encourage students to fundraise for the charities would be a good opportunity to help the emergency specialty development.

I believe emergency medicine is an underrepresented specialty which requires more attention at Leeds University. Furthermore, I have experience on committee in multiple medical societies where I have had a variety of different roles. I believe I am a very committed member of medical societies and have the skills, contacts and understanding to develop the Emergency Medicine society. Furthermore, I have dedicated team members who are keen to be part of the Emergency Medicine Society committee.
