We are a non-auditioned big band for anyone interested in playing Jazz, Blues, Funk and Soul Music.

As a society, we love performing, and there will be plenty of opportunities for this throughout the year! If performing isn't for you, you can also join us for socials and attend gigs.

Gigs

Rehearsals for the band are every Monday 6:45pm-9pm in the School of Music. We welcome singers, trumpets, trombones, saxes of all varieties, flutes, clarinets, guitarists, bassists, drummers, and pianists!

We organise regular gigs in some of the best venues Leeds has to offer, including Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen, Brudenell Social Club, Headrow House, as well as more relaxed events in the student union.

Socials

We invade Old Bar every week after rehearsal to socialise with our fellow musicians. There are also regular socials at venues such as Eldon and Belgrave, as well as other bigger events like an Otley run, society dinners, and a fridge-to-fridge.

Membership

Membership is £12 for the year, which will allow you to attend rehearsals, play in gigs, and come to socials.
