We'll be staying in North Wales which is a brilliant area for walking and hiking 

This ticket includes the cost of the group meal on Saturday and use of the hut were staying at. Unfortunately there will not be beds for hikers so roll mats and sleeping bags will be needed. There is however showers and toilets. I believe you have sorted your own transport and routes for hikes for the weekend so this ticket is just to cover the costs of the food and accommodation.

We will be headed to beautiful North Wales for a weekend of kayaking! 

We are staying at Shrewsbury Mountain Hut from the 8th-10th May, leaving Friday evening, times tbc.

We will likely split into 2 groups, a small group of inters & select progs will do the Upper Tryweryn (if it’s releasing), while another group will arrive later/ spend the morning in the cafe before doing the Lower Tryweryn in the afternoon.

Other rivers & plans are yet to be decided based on rain, hopefully they’ll be some other rivers running for us (ideally not the Dee).

As always there’s a chance some people may have to walk on one of the days (even if it rains as rivers in NW are more challenging) so please be prepared for that! But hopefully everyone will be able to paddle on both days. A more solid plan will be made when we have an idea of weather forecast.

The hut has beds you will just have to bring a sleeping bag & blow up pillow (please only bring a blow up/ small pillow)
 

Kit List:
Kayaking:
-Thermals top and bottom (not cotton): enough for 2 days and more than you think you will need
-Jumper to wear on water (not cotton)
-Wetsuit boots or trainers: these will get wet
-Towel
-Contact lenses or glasses strap (if you use glasses)
-Large shopping bag/ ikea bag for wet kayaking kit
-Snacks

Accommodation:
-Sleeping Bag
-Blow Up Pillow
-Headtorch
-Power Bank/ charger
-Off the water clothes: lots of warm clothes as we are outside all weekend
-Waterproof coat
-Water Bottle
-Food/ money
