Our society is LGBTQIA+ Medics. We work with medical students to help them find belonging in the medical school and the NHS. We also work closely with the medical school to improve inclusion of LGBTQIA+ in medical education as well as LGBTQIA+ student belonging. We are in close contact with LGBTSoc at LUU but believe that our society is still needed separately as the needs for LGBTQIA+ rights in the NHS and healthcare as a whole are vast and we need this society to be able to improve this from the worker's side as well as make the course more open to LGBTQIA+ applicants.

Being a part of LUU we can start to run more events and work with other LUU societies more easily to share information about LGBTQIA+ health inequalities with others (e.g. LGBTSoc, sexpression etc). We are also running a conference this year which will bring people from across the country to Leeds!
