Leeds Drag Society was founded in 2025 to create a vibrant, welcoming space where queer people, and everyone else, can come together through a shared love of drag, creativity, and individuality. While queerness is central to our roots, the society is about far more than identity alone. We celebrate self-expression, performance, community, and the many reasons people are drawn to drag culture.

Open to students from all universities across Leeds, Leeds Drag Society welcomes drag performers, drag fans, and anyone curious or passionate about the art form. Whether you’re on stage, behind the scenes, or cheering from the audience, there’s a place for you here.

Even before officially launching, we ran multiple successful events and gained significant attention, showing just how much demand there is for a space like this. Our events centre drag as an art, a celebration, and a community — creating nights that are joyful, inclusive, and unapologetically bold.
