UGAS Give It a Go: Anaesthetics, Airway Skills & Pizza!

ALL YEARS WELCOME!

Join Leeds Undergraduate Anaesthetics Society for an evening exploring life as an anaesthetist, trying practical airway skills and enjoying some free Domino’s pizza!

Whether you’re considering a career in anaesthetics or simply curious about the specialty, this is a great opportunity to meet anaesthetists, ask questions and get involved.

📅 Tuesday 13th October
🕡 6:30pm – 9:00pm
📍 Baines Wing SR (2.08)

Here’s what we’ve got planned:

A day in the life of an anaesthetist: Dr Joe Gleeson will share an insight into the specialty and what the job involves.

Getting into anaesthetics: An introduction to the training pathway, followed by time for your questions.

Pizza and a chat: Enjoy free Domino’s pizza and meet other students interested in anaesthetics.

Airway management demonstration: See basic airway manoeuvres, airway adjuncts, bag-mask ventilation, supraglottic airways and intubation.

Have a go yourself: Split into two smaller groups for supervised practice with Dr Joe Gleeson and Dr Jack Sherlock, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

We hope to see you there!
