Join us for our second Sunday Hike of the year on the 9th of February.

We will meet by 08:15 at the Parkinson Steps to take the coach to Barley in the Forest of Bowland. This Lancashire village lies next to the very prominent Pendle Hill which itself is infamous for the Pendle Witch Trials and famous for a Doctor Who episode based on said witch trial (apparently?)

The coach will aim to depart Barley at 16:30, if your group is back to the village early you'll have the opportunity to explore the local amenities (i.e. shops, pubs and cafes!).

As with all Sunday Hikes, we will split into 4 or 5 groups each with two volunteer leaders.

We want to make Sunday Hikes as easy as possible for you, but due to safety, you must have the following: walking boots with ankle support, rucksack, waterproofs, appropriate layers, sufficient water (at least 1 litre), and sufficient food (See the ‘Getting Outside’ FAQ section of our website at https://luuhc.com/faq#Getting-outside for some inspiration!) . If you can no longer make it to the hike, please contact our Club Secretary, Alice, through luuhc.secretary@gmail.com as soon as possible. If we can find someone to replace you from the waiting list, you’ll get a full refund. If not, unfortunately we will not be able to issue a refund. Sorry, you can’t swap tickets.
