My name is Neve and as a third-year architecture student I have a pretty good understanding of what the course is like and the experiences that may come with it. I understand what it's like to not have the same opportunities as others and I know the impact of a lack of inclusivity therefore I always make sure everyone feels and is equal. It's something that I practice in everyday life as I genuinely care about how others feel. I'm a big advocate for protecting people's mental well-being (it's the focus of my dissertation). As the oldest sister, looking out for people is basically my default setting and I'm always happy to talk (as people may know) , give advice, and support anyone who needs it. I've seen how much people benefit from connections with other years, so I'd love to help build on that sense of community. I know quite a lot of people across the course already which comes from being friendly but again being very talkative. I'm very organised and responsive so I'd definitely thrive in running social media accounts. I'd be able to keep it active and engaging with all of the information people actually need like upcoming events and helpful reminders. I'm very consistent and quite creative so I'd make sure every post reflects the supportive and inclusive community we are trying to create. I know I am fully capable of bringing positivity and genuine care to this role!

Hi I'm Shay, a current architectural engineering student going into my third year.
I am applying to be you're next communications and welfare secretary.
In this role I will make sure that,
- all members of ArcSoc stay in the loop whether that’s through frequent updates on the social media page or promoting events and socials.
- Making sure everyone who comes along to our ArcSoc events feel welcome and included by creating a safe and happy environment. (whether you drink or not!)
- Allowing peers to share and express their worries or concerns in a safe and confidential manner.
