Hello!

I am thrilled to be applying for the position of Academic and Industrial Representative for ShockSoc! I am particularly interested in the overlapping of industry and education, and how beneficial it could be for members and their careers in the future. With my excellent academic background and exposure to industry, I believe I am well suited to this role.

I understand the value that workshops, and guest lectures can provide, as well as the knowledge gained from such practices, and I intend to have these events organised for the members of ShockSoc. I also greatly understand the importance of industry and the effectiveness of connections established between the members of our society and industrial professionals, to improve skills that are important in engineers. My previous work experiences where I learned about electronic devices and their applications in medicine, have been concrete evidence for this.

In conclusion, together with the ShockSoc team, I will work to organise networking events and opportunities to learn new skills, and overall, keep the members of ShockSoc well-equipped as engineers.
