I would be interested in this position as a way of getting some leadership experience and creating and driving a vision that can benefit the members. I am also looking to develop my networking abilities to help me get more exposure to opportunities for both myself and the collective.

Dear members of the Shock Society and fellow strudents,

I'm excited to stand here today as a candidate for the role of Vice President of the Shock Society (SockSOC). My name is Abdullah Omar, a first-year Mechatronics and Robotics student, just about to jump into my second year. I'm thrilled at the idea of potentially getting more involved with our fantastic society.

Getting to participate in this year's Robot Fighting League competition has been an incredible ride. It's given me a real taste of what our industry's about and shown me how much potential we have in this society to do some seriously cool stuff. I've come out of it buzzing with ideas to make our society and its events even better.

As your potential Vice President, my goal is to keep the great work going but also mix things up a bit with some fresh ideas. I can't wait to share these with you if I get the chance to serve as your Vice President.

Choosing me as your Vice President means you're putting your faith in someone who's determined to make a real difference. I want to help make our society a place where we can all innovate and collaborate, taking SockSOC into an exciting future.

I am Joshua Swinburne, and I am writing to apply for the Vice President role at ShockSoc. I believe that with my strong leadership abilities and exceptional organizational skills, I will be able to effectively fulfil the requirements outlined in the job description.

During my time as a rugby team captain, I have demonstrated a consistent commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and delivering results. My time as a team captain has helped me gain experience in assuming responsibility and I am experienced in motivating and supporting team members, offering guidance and assistance when needed.

As Vice President, I would be willing to step in and assume the role of the President whenever necessary, as well as any other role that may need contribution. Maintaining continuity and ensuring the effective functioning of the department.

I possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing me to effectively liaise with the Engineering Employability Office, ensuring our department remains well-connected with industry professionals.

I am committed to taking on any additional tasks or shared responsibilities with the President and I believe in actively contributing to the overall success of the department. I am always ready to lend a helping hand to other committee members whenever necessary no matter the situation.
