I'm writing to apply for the Treasurer role at ShockSoc. My high school education provided me with a strong foundation in financial management, evidenced by a 98% score in Grade 12 Accounting. This theoretical understanding is complemented by a passion for entrepreneurship.

My role as CFO in the Injaz competition, a youth entrepreneurship event, allowed me to apply my financial skills in a real-world setting. I was responsible for handling budgeting, ensuring clear financial records, and managed relationships with stakeholders, key duties of the Treasurer role.

Furthermore, I took entrepreneurship classes in school, which provided a well-rounded understanding of business operations, including financial management and sponsor relationships, both key duties of the ShockSoc Treasurer.

I am comfortable using tools such as Excel for maintaining up-to-date balance sheets and supporting committee members when required.

Finally, I am fortunate to have a solid connection and chemistry with the nominated core members of ShockSoc. I believe this will be invaluable in fostering a productive and collaborative working environment, making it easier to carry out the responsibilities of the Treasurer role.
