Hi all! My name is Karim and I am the current Head of Robotics. I am running for this role to guarantee that Shocksoc continues to run at the highest standard possible. With me as Welfare officer, I will be acting as a mentor for the new committee and guiding them to ensure that Shocksoc exceeds the high bar that it sets for itself annually. I will also be ready to assist the new Head of Robotics to ease them into their role and teach them everything there is to learn about it.

I was elected late in my current role, but in the short time that I had, I helped organize and run RFL and also ran lab tours across campus to help our society learn more about the awesome projects that go in in this university. In my time helping with RFL, I developed close relationships with the people running as committee this year which is certainly a strong foundation on which to build a fruitful committee relationship. Additionally, I have developed connections at the university that would be useful for the current committee next year. Finally, I love cheese.
