Hi I'm Yaz (she/they), I'm a first year geography student from Wales and LGBT Soc has been a big part of my time here in Leeds so far, (and everyone's probably seen me consume way too much caffeine at coffee hour). I'm well organised and committed to working hard in a team from my past experience in secretary-like roles in grassroots activism. I am committed to helping grow the very welcoming queer community and prepared to do whatever I can to ensure our society is inclusive and accessible for all.

Hi, I'm Alexandria or X and I'm a third year Arabic and Chinese student, currently finishing my year abroad!
LGBTSoc has been so important in my life, it was a place I could find friends and community in first year and was a lifeline during lockdown. I would love to be part of the committee to help keep making it a welcoming, fun and supportive place for Leeds students. I'm also committed to making sure it's a good space for everyone, especially people of colour.
I've been a secretary before for Thackray Sage Morris society, which I'm now president of, so I'm comfortable with responsibility and know the ropes already! I'm also a super organised person who enjoys the behind-the-scenes stuff and meetings that keep the show running.
I'm excited to be back in Leeds and make a difference to my community there!
