Hi, my name is Louis! I'm a 2nd year BA Music student and if you don't know who I am, you may have seen me in symphonic choir, working for the concert series, running around as a course rep or developing attachment issues to the foyer. I want to be your Departmental Rep because I care about your music education. I care about what opportunities are available to you and I care about making sure you get to do what you love. My personal struggles with music has made me passionate about music education and acutely aware of how much better it can be. I’d like to try making things better by facilitating the kind of opportunities that build bridges between LUUMS and the School of Music by combining our resources, connections and shared love of music.

I love being a part of the School of Music (as you can tell) and I've gotten to know the staff very well, working closely with the Student Experience Team, the Tech Team, The Concerts Team and the Student-Staff Partnership Forum. I have made some really good connections in the last year and I want to make the most of them.

Some ideas I have for the role: to facilitate more opportunities for soloists to get involved in LUUMS, to find ways to create more opportunities to *practice* performing, to organise improvisation workshops, to help organise more masterclasses, composition workshops, conducting workshops for both new and current conductors and more!
