Hi, I'm Prachi Desai, and I'm excited to run for the position of Events Representative for the CRASHSoc.

Having been an active member of the society last year as the EDI rep, I’ve seen just how impactful our events can be in inspiring interest in emergency medicine and providing learning opportunities. My continued involvement stems from a genuine passion for the specialty and a strong desire to contribute to the society’s growth and success.

I also bring prior experience in event planning and coordination through my involvement in last year’s events and my role as Fundraising Officer for Eye Soc. These experiences have taught me the importance of attention to detail, effective communication, and adaptability.

If elected, I’ll work hard to bring fresh ideas to the table and ensure all events are well-organized, inclusive, and valuable to members at every level.

The previous year being our first, I would like to expand on the ideas of the previous year, and also host more learning opportunities and case-based events. I will also introduce more research-oriented events. I would also like to collaborate with other societies both within Leeds and outside. I will listen to feedback and create an environment where all the members can communicate and share ideas (such as a WhatsApp group) to create more beneficial events for you all.

I’m eager to collaborate with the rest of the committee to continue delivering high-quality, engaging events that reflect the energy and excitement of emergency medicine.
