Hello, my name is Vladimir, but it's more likely you know me by my online nickname of Firs.

I'm currently in the final year of my Computer Science BSc, due to be in my MSc course next year.

While I've unfortunately not been at all of the society's events, I have been present on the society's Discord, especially in the Splatoon and Halo channels. Overall, I am new to the competitive scene, but I have experience in all of the games covered by the society, from Splatoon and Halo to CS2, Rocket League, Valorant, Apex Legends, and more - I have only the highest respect for the the many teams which actively train and compete in the seasonal tournaments. I know the effort and dedication involved!

Which is why I'd love to help manage the committee! While I don't have direct experience as a treasurer, I have experience with event and trip planning, as well as handling logistics - all of which require budgeting and getting the most out of the money available. If there's anything your team needs to thrive, be it in the next seasonal tournament or for your regular training, I'll do my best to make it happen.

Further, it would be my pleasure to help set up the weekly socials! While I have stuck myself in the Splatoon competitive scene, I love trying and looking out for new games at every opportunity - some of which are fantastic niche local multiplayer games you may not have heard of, such as Lethal League Blaze, Rivals of Aether, Maiden & Spell, and much more! I hope to encourage the committee to set up such niche games for our regular socials, in addition to helping set up the bigger annual events like Geek Night.

Jokes aside I’ve had the privilege of being apart of the committee the past academic year and I’ve loved getting to know you all. I’m excited to meet new people next year and show them what we do to new comers 🐸

I’d love to be given the chance of treasurer as I wang to have a larger responsibility surround the society, I’m dedicated and I am willing to put the time and effort into an amazing space for all nerds alike.

If you consider me I’ll make sure that there’s at least two copies of Bratz The movie 2007 bought for the wii!!!
