This election is to elect a welfare secretary for committee. Nominations will open at 8pm on Monday 20th and close at 8pm on Monday 27th.

This role is a general committee role with the extra responsibility of being the welfare representative for the club, someone who people can come to and voice their feelings and concerns. There will be some training for this role provided by LUU, for example this year I attended Suicide Prevention Training at LUU lead by Papyrus. The role involves being approachable by members of the society, for example some members may just want some reassurance before their first ever club trip and other members may come to you to discuss a range of different welfare issues. You will be responsible for and in charge of appropriately dealing with any welfare issues which are reported by members either via the new optionally anonymous welfare form or via email. 

This is a small role that does not take up much time but any work you will do will likely be very serious and demanding so make sure you are prepared for anything.
