This year's AGM will see elections for all core and non-core committee positions for the next academic year. 

All Student Members of the society are eligible to stand for each role. (n.b. Participant Members are not eligible.)

The core positions are:

• President - oversees the general running of the society, and acts as the main ambassador of the society. 
• Secretary - deals with membership records, room bookings, risk assessments, and more.  
• Treasurer - manages the society's finances and financial dealings. 

All three core roles must be filled for the society to be able to run! 

The non-core positions are:

• Social Secretary - takes the lead role in coming up with and running socials/events. 
• Competition Secretary - takes the lead role in coming up with and running competitively oriented events/other activities.
• Equality and Wellbeing Officer - is focused on ensuring the society is inclusive and safe for all members. 

The non-core roles are not mandatory to fill, but are still very useful in running the society!

Full overviews of committee roles are available in the society's constitution. Do feel free to ask the current committee about any of the roles as well.
