As a gateway representative, my aim will be to ensure the concerns, opinions and views of my peers in my department are always taken into consideration. I will do my very best to find solutions for the problems my peers face by raising them where necessary. Not only will this experience help me enhance my leadership and negotiation skills but it will also provide me the chance to aid my fellow gateway peers and use it as a consistent learning curve. I believe being a part of the MSRC will motivate and guide me to achieve the best potential for my peers and myself. I want to ensure that each one of us has the best academic experience at Leeds whether this be concerning studying, attending society led events or even just regarding having someone to talk to.

Hello, I'm Gabriel and I am doing Medicine with a Gateway Year 2024-25.
I will work to ensure that the student's voice is heard and that any change needed will be brought about swiftly. I am approachable and open to people's opinions on how the course is going and I am keen to ensure that the students' view is shared and acted upon.

I would love to be your student rep for Gateway because I genuinely want to create a supportive and connected community that makes our journey through med school this year truly memorable. I’m very approachable and here to listen to each of you—whether you want to chat about organising study groups, accessing resources, planning fun events to help us destress, managing workloads, or just having a friendly conversation. I promise I’m not scary! I like to believe I am a funny person, so am here to make you all laugh (hopefully). Your feedback and concerns are important to me, and I’m committed to addressing challenges proactively to ensure they are heard. My aim is to create a positive environment and be the student voice that ensures every perspective is valued.

I'm Uzo and I am applying for gateway rep. Please read my poster for my info :)))

I am running for the role of MRSC gateway rep as it is a passion of mine to bring change and to let all people's voice be heard. As mentioned in my poster, I have been tasked with a multitude of leadership roles such as: student council, senior committee, event planning committee, charity organiser and much more. Furthermore, I am confident in presenting myself in front of a large audience as well as in front of smaller groups which makes me a perfect candidate for bringing other opinions and thoughts to light. As a gateway rep, I promise to try my absolute best to bring change and feedback to the school of medicine.
