Heya! I’m Maz, and I’m so excited to be running for Social Media Officer for DiceSoc next year!

I’m a newer member to DiceSoc, and to TTRPG’s in general, but have loved learning and playing a variety of different systems. D&D has become such a big part of my life over the last year, and has introduced me to some of my best friends, so I hope to continue to promote DiceSoc next year so others can share that same feeling!

As Social Media Officer, I hope to keep everyone updated and informed of all society events and promote the society to newcomers with engaging posts! I have experience helping run society social media accounts from previous committee experience, and I love using different mediums to showcase my creativity. I thrive on bright colours and have managed to make every academic presentation I’ve done look professional and clear, but also pretty :)

Hi, I’m Jack, a second-year Maths student and I’m running for Social Media Officer for Dice Society.

I’ve really enjoyed being part of the society, especially through playing D&D and being involved in sessions over time. Having played a memorable and recognisable character (that some DMs have come to fear), I’ve had the chance to engage with a lot of members which has given me a good sense of what people enjoy, what keeps them coming back and what will attract new players.

I regularly use platforms like Instagram and Discord, and I’m confident in communicating clearly and keeping people informed. I’m organised and reliable, and I understand how important it is that announcements go out on time.

If elected, I would make sure all events are clearly advertised with regular reminders so no one misses out. I’d also work to make our social media more engaging—highlighting an exciting one-shot each week, memorable moments, and building excitement around events. In addition, I would coordinate with the committee to ensure each social has designated members present and leading, so everything runs smoothly.
