I am a relevant fit for the role of publicity officer as I have experience in social media management and media tile design. My current job at Leeds University consists of translating given information into vibrant, effective social media tiles to post to large audiences, communicating information in a simple but eye-catching way. I have previously volunteered at my local museum and researched ways of making social media pages more visually appealing; I then applied this to their personal pages and explained to them simple steps that would engage audiences better, like greater attention to layout, page themes, and the use of stories, highlights and reels. I did Fine Art at A-level and am skilled in visual aesthetics, and additionally I have experience with Canva as I use it for my job and my personal website. Most importantly, social media management is something I enjoy and I would embrace the position with dedication and enthusiasm. I’d like to be part of the Karate committee and contribute in some way, and this position would best utilise my skillset for the benefit of the society.

A bit about myself,
I'm Aditi. I'm originally from India and am studying Environment and Business at uni. My most favourite thing to do is sleep and binge watch tv shows. I would never say no to an almond croissant and a good hot chocolate. I'm an outdoors person and enjoy long walking trails. I've done karate for a year and a half and hold an orange belt. I started this semester and look forward to doing it the next three years I'm here.

Why should I be the next Publicity officer?
- I've professionally done social media for almost a year now, handling clients from nutrition to luxury fashion. I am comfortable with using Canva and have done short and long form content before.
- I'm tech savvy and can easily navigate social media platform, handle emails, and websites efficiently.
- I love clicking pictures and documenting life around me. 18k photos and 3k videos in my gallery are a testimonial to this.
- I'm approachable and understand professionalism, helping me answer dms and queries on social media.
