When you receive your School’s response you’ll either have been given a Stage 2 Resolution or your case will have been referred straight to Stage 3: Committee on Applications.

If you are happy with the resolution then you can accept this and the appeal will come to an end.

If you are unhappy with the resolution you can take this further to Stage 2a: Further appeal against Stage 2 Resolution. You would need to submit this further appeal within 10 working days.

Any further appeal should not repeat what is already in your original appeal, instead you should address any issues raised by your School.

You can only appeal on one of the following grounds:

• The resolution was unreasonable in light of the evidence supplied.
• The procedure used to make the decision was deficient in a way which materially prejudiced the case.
• New evidence has emerged which was not available when the decision was made and there is a good reason why it was not submitted earlier.

The outcome of a Stage 2a appeal will either be:

• Referral to the Committee for review, or
• Rejected and the Stage 2 Resolution will stand.
