Gryphon Racing is the society for the Leeds Formula Student team, LGR. There are various roles you can apply yourself to with 5 teams to choose from!

Internal- combustion car team
30 years of competing internal combustion race cars, built and raced by students every year, making leeds the oldest team in the UK

Electric Vehicle car team
Built Leeds’ first electric race car and its first running electric motor, taking a car to competition for the first time last year.

Artificial Intelligence team
AI will be entering their 4th year into silverstone. Developing an autonomous race car, bring together software, electronics and mechanical engineering.

Business team
The business team create and present a theoretical proposal for each car, pitched to ‘possible investors’ at Silverstone competition

Media team
The Media team help capture the work put into the teams throughout the year; they share this work on instagram for people to follow along the journey

Meetings/Socials/Events
Weekly post-meeting pub trips for team fluidity. Several bi-weekly events that members can take part in to get to know people from other sub-teams. Pub golf, otley runs, go-karting, bowling and quizzes are some of the events that could be expected from our socials.
