Somali Society is based on constructing a community that establishes and enhances individuals' experience at the university. We celebrate positive cultural values, educate each other about our culture and try to eliminate any barriers to social cohesion and inclusion.

We teach others about Somali culture as our society is ‘Welcome to All', accepting others from different beliefs and cultural backgrounds.

One famous proverb is "Iskaashato ma kufto" - if people support each other, they do not fall.

The society hopes to grow a community in the heart of Leeds.
