Welcome to Quadball
Quadball is an inclusive mixed-gender, full-contact sport for two teams of seven players. There are over 300 teams across the world! The sport incorporates elements of rugby, dodgeball and basketball amongst other sports.
Leeds Griffins Quadball Society prides itself on being a part of the wide, inclusive sporting community since its founding by QuidditchUK in 2011. We welcome players of all ability, gender identity, and background. Whether you want to just try something new, get active, or get on the ladder to climb to national and international league quidditch championships, Griffins has a place for you!
Training
We train on Saturdays (12pm-3pm) on Woodhouse Moor. We suggest you bring along water, layers (fleece, waterproof, etc), and studded shoes (trainers are fine, but studs make running a lot easier, especially in wetter weather!). We usually meet at 15 mins before in order to warm up and be ready at 12:00.
Socials
The Griffins run regular socials varying from a pint and a meal in the pub to Otley Runs! Even over lockdown, we hosted events such as Charity Pub Quiz fundraisers, watch parties, and the all-time favourite picture-drawing guessing games.
This year we’re planning more house parties and activities like laser tag to help build team cohesion and have lots of fun! We also have pub nights on Fridays, a Halloween party, as well as our Christmas ball!If there’s an event you want to organise, just suggest it!
