Welcome to Dancesport (Ballroom and Latin)
Welcome to our DanceSport Society! We offer ballroom and Latin dance classes for everyone—whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced dancer. Our society is a friendly and inclusive space where you can learn, practice, and have fun together.
Classes of three levels (beginner, novice, and pre-intermediate+) are taught weekly by experienced professional coaches Christian and Olivia Skibsrud. In addition to structured classes, we hold weekly practice sessions, giving you the chance to practice what you’ve learned at your own pace.
Competitions
We actively participate in multiple inter-varsity competitions throughout the year, offering members numerous opportunities to compete in both ballroom and latin. One highlight of the year is a weekend away in Blackpool for the largest competition in the university circuit at the Winter Gardens Ballroom.
Membership Fees
Memberships are £90 + £3* for insurance.
We offer the option to split the payment into two semesters: £60 for Semester 1 and £30 for Semester 2.
*This insurance fee covers any accidents related to this activity. It is a one-time payment for the year
