Welcome to Mathematical
MathSoc brings together students with an interest in maths, either for their degree or a general love.
The main function of the society is to allow like-minded mathematicians to meet up, have fun, and let off steam; giving them the support to work hard, and the socials to play harder.
Socials
The MathSoc calendar is jam-packed with exciting socials, starting with icebreakers and nights out. We will also be hosting Otley runs, house parties, pub quizzes, and an infamous weekend trip abroad, but if this isn’t enough, we also drop massive bar tabs on our nights out! Don’t worry if you’re not a big drinker as we will still have plenty of socials this year to cater for you!
Our biggest event of the year is always the MathSoc Christmas Ball, which will be hosted at The Lost&Found, giving you all a great opportunity to dress up and act like royalty!
Membership
Membership is £13 per year! If you want to join one of our sports teams then this will only cost you an extra £10, and so is one of the cheapest ways to play sport at University.
