Academic
Welcome to CompSoc
The Leeds Computing Society (CompSoc) is an academic society aiming to help our members make the most of their time at Leeds by providing them with the best opportunities, both socially and professionally.
We host a variety of socials and academic events throughout the year to help make friends, meet course mates and network with industry professionals.
Whether you study in the School of Computer Science, have an interest in computing or are just looking for chances to meet new people and make new friends, we welcome anyone and everyone. So join today!
Socials
Stay tuned to our Instagram to see our upcoming socials. We're back better than ever with previous favourites such as the CompSoc fridge-to-fridge, pub quizzes, gaming tournaments and much more! This year will also see the return of the CompSoc Summer Ball to end semester 2 in style.
Academic Events
We also organise of range opportunities to allow our members to develop professionally during their studies. This includes hackathons, academic talks and networking events which will appear periodically throughout the year.
Sports
We also have CompSocFC - our 11-a-side football team which plays against other teams each Sunday from 4-6pm in the university's Sunday Division. Information about trials, training and fixtures can be found closer to the time on their Instagram at @luucompsocfc.
