Welcome to The LGBTQ+ Network

Join the LGBTQ+ Network - Shape Your Campus!

This network works to make campus and education more inclusive by tackling stereotypes, challenging discrimination, uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, and ensuring LGBTQ+ students’ needs are met.

By signing up to the LGBTQ+ Network, you’ll be joining a collective movement to break down barriers, challenge inequality, and support campaigns led by the LGBTQ+ Liberation Reps that push for meaningful change. From tackling issues like homophobia, safety, and representation to hosting community events and shaping university policies, these networks are a platform for student-led activism and solidarity.

Liberation Networks at LUU are student-led communities that empower marginalised students, amplify their voices, and drive real change on campus. Whether you identify as Black, Asian, Disabled, Neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, Trans, a Woman, or Working-Class - these networks are spaces for you to connect, organise, and advocate for a more inclusive university experience.

Liberation is interconnected—oppression doesn’t exist in isolation. Racism, classism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, and other systemic injustices overlap, meaning that true liberation requires collective action. Our networks work together to collaboratively fight for a more just university and society, and we need allies across all communities to stand in solidarity. So even if you don't identify as being 'LGBTQ+' you can join the network by selecting the 'Ally membership'.
