The Catholic Society (CathSoc) is a community open to all students who want to have a ‘home-away-from-home’ at university with fun, laughter and prayer.

We are a vibrant international community who gather for Mass every Sunday at 5 PM in the Catholic Chaplaincy during term time with fantastic social events running afterwards - perfect for making lifelong connections. In semester 2, enjoy exciting events like a Charity Fundraiser Bake-Off, an Interfaith Pancake Party in March, and more! Whether you're looking to deepen your faith, meet new people, or get involved in activities, there's something for everyone. Discover a supportive space to grow spiritually and socially. Membership Information and Events Prices

Becoming a member is simple. Membership for everyone (regardless if you're a student or not) is £8 - University of Leeds students can buy Student Membership, and non-University of Leeds students can buy Participant Membership. If you're only here for Semester 2, you might consider buying Semester 2 Membership for just £4.

Attending Mass is always FREE and open to anyone, and so are most of our events. Some of our events cost, but we will always keep prices low.

Members get access to our CathSoc WhatsApp chat, discounted prices on our paid events, and a big discount on our Lenten Retreat (7th to 9th March).
