Vibes is the Indian dance society at University of Leeds, embracing people of ALL ABILITIES who share the same excitement and energy to DANCE!

Whether you’ve grown up dancing to Indian beats or you’re stepping onto the floor for the very first time, our society has something for everyone! From open classes to national competitions, we bring together all styles of Indian dance. We also love collaborating with dancers from every genre to cook up fresh, vibrant fusions that keep things exciting!

Open Classes

We have Open Classes every WEDNESDAY, 8-10PM in Mango Studio!

Competitions

Vibes Leeds is proud to have been awarded Winners of Just Bollywood Competition in “Head to Head” and “Best Mix” for 2 years in a row for our themes of Batman vs Joker (2019) and Peter Pan (2018), placed third in the theme of Lion king (2021) and wining "Head to Head". Battle of Bollywood III – Regional Winners of the North, Best Male Award and Overall 3rd nationally. Placed second and Audience Favourite in the LUU Intercomp (2023). Placed Third and Audience Favourite in the LUU Intercomp (2024).

Socials

We have frequent socials where we enjoy a mix of RnB, chart, Bollywood, and Bhangra. Our socials are extremely popular and really fun so please come along and bring your friends! This year we will be hosting some exciting socials. We run non-alcoholic socials throughout the year too!

Masterclasses

We aim to run some masterclasses throughout the year, hosted by well-known Bollywood dancers, in order for us to expand our dance abilities! There is a charge for these classes, exclusive of the membership package.
