Leeds Myanmar Society is the official Myanmar-focused student society at the University of Leeds, dedicated to building an inclusive and welcoming community for both Myanmar and non-Myanmar students.

We celebrate important Myanmar cultural festivals such as Thadingyut and Tazaungdaing, giving members the opportunity to experience traditional customs, values, and celebrations. Alongside cultural events, we organise regular social activities including badminton sessions, casual socials, and group meet-ups to help members connect and build friendships.

The society also hosts culture-sharing events, where students can learn about Myanmar traditions, food, language, and everyday culture, encouraging cross-cultural understanding within the university community.

Whether you are from Myanmar, interested in Myanmar culture, or simply looking to meet new people, Leeds Myanmar Society is open to all University of Leeds students.
