Welcome to Buddhist Meditation



Hello Leeds! We are an inclusive group that run weekly guided meditations, discussions, wellbeing retreats and visits to local Buddhist centres in and around Leeds. All are welcome and one does not have to identify as Buddhist to attend. 


Weekly meditations 


We aim to give everyone a place where they can meet a relaxed community of friendly people, practice meditation and learn more about Buddhism. We are currently running meditation sessions every Wednesday evening (Room 6, upstairs in LUU. 5-7pm)

 Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’re experienced or new to meditation. These normally consist of guided meditations, talks, discussions and a chance to chat. 

All our sessions are free and you don’t have to be a member.  




The best way to communicate with the committee and other members is through our Whatsapp group- a link to which will be made available at all weekly sessions. 




Throughout the year we plan regular day visits to local Buddhist centres, which provides further opportunity to practice meditation together. 

We also organise weekend wellbeing retreats, which people really enjoy, for both developing their meditation practice and making good friends. These retreats are most commonly hosted in nearby national parks. 





We plan to run multiple socials through the year, such as pot-luck dinners, mindfulness walks and film nights.
