Orienteering is an exciting and challenging outdoor sport that tests both the mind and the body. The objective is to navigate between control points marked on a map. In competitive orienteering, participants aim to complete the course in the shortest possible time, choosing their own routes between checkpoints. However, orienteering can be done recreationally and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Participants can walk or run at their own pace, following courses designed to match different abilities and experience levels.

Fell Running is the exciting sport of running over hills and off-road terrain. It has the same pace and excitement of orienteering, but with more physical pain and less confused head-scratching when you get lost!

City, forest or moor, not to mention the rain, snow, wind and sunshine, orienteering and fell running can prove to be a challenge for your mind and muscles…

Training:

We run regular training in and around Leeds on Tuesdays at 5:45pm. We travel to local orienteering club events on Wednesday evenings and at weekends. This is a mixture of navigation and fitness training. We attend Fell Races at weekends and organise regular group runs. Our sessions cater for everyone from those still getting to grips with the sport to elite athletes (or so we like to think).

Become a member for just £15. Membership runs for one academic year and all our training is FREE to members!
