Leeds Medics and Dentists Badminton Club

We are a welcoming and social badminton club aimed for medics, dental and healthcare students of all abilities. Although, anyone is still welcome to join.

There are a variety of regular tournaments throughout the year from the national inter-university NAMS competition held annually in Birmingham/Nottingham, to smaller scale tournaments against local universities such as Sheffield, Manchester and Birmingham. We will also host many socials throughout the year including meals and nights out. 

Our membership is £25 for the year. This includes access to all LMDBC court sessions and does not require the £80 Edge sport pass. For Alumni outside of Uol this will be £35.

If you would like to represent LMDBC at our tournaments, we are always on the lookout for new team players. There are usually 2 sessions per week on evenings/weekends which will be updated in the WhatsApp group and Instagram. Our main source of communication is on our WhatsApp group chat and link to this can be found in our linktree on our Instagram page.

Current sessions:

Wednesdays → 8:30pm-9:30pm, The Edge, Sports Hall 2  

Saturdays → TBC

Trials -  this is for members who want to try out for the teams. There will be two teams. Teams will represent LMDBC in NAMS and the Medical Badminton league tournament and will be prioritised for all other tournaments.  DM us for more details.
