Historia Normannis
General Interest
Welcome to Historia Normannis
We are Historia Normannis, a reenactment society exploring all aspects of the 12th Century.
We do combat training every Sunday in Hyde Park by the skatepark from 11:00-15:00. Joining us at any time is free. No membership, equipment or experience is required. Our training officers will show you the ropes!
We host regular crafting sessions on Thursdays, most in the Helix Makerspace from 6:30pm. Our activities include tailoring, fletching, woodwork, leatherwork, shieldwrighting, embroidery, light metalwork and more! All manner of crafts are welcome.
We attend reenactment and living history events across the UK during the summer at festivals and historical sites.
Training-
Every Sunday from 11am to 3pm in Hyde Park (opposite skatepark). To participate, you will have to complete a short safety briefing/test as our combat system is a contact sport. Training with us is completely free. We will be going pub after.
Other Meetings-
Craft is hosted on Thursdays. Usually in the Helix building from 6:30pm. However the time and location is subject to change depending on the activity. We sometimes replace craft sessions with socials hosted elsewhere earlier in the year. Join our Discord server to stay notified!
Membership-
There is no membership cost to join Historia Normannis. It simply helps us and the Student Union keep track of our group size and turnout prior to events.
