MESA at the University of Leeds is a space created for students who exist between cultures, those who don’t fit into just one box, but instead carry a blend of identities, experiences, and traditions.

We represent the intersection of Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures, bringing together a community shaped by diversity, shared upbringing, and a sense of in-between. For many of us, this identity isn’t always easily defined and that’s exactly what MESA celebrates.

Our aim is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can connect over familiar experiences, discover new perspectives, and feel a genuine sense of belonging. Whether you’re looking for a reminder of home or a chance to explore different cultures, MESA offers a space where both can exist.
