Welcome to Palestine Solidarity Group

About Us

Palestine Solidarity Group (PSG) is a Political and Cultural society which aims to raise awareness amongst the student body and wider community about the historical and current situation in Palestine, platform Palestinian voices and support their call for BDS and fight for the liberation of the Palestinians. As well as this, we aim to hold events that highlight the culture and beauty of Palestine, through events like Culture Nights and Dabke classes, a traditional dance used to symbolise Palestinian resistance.

Our Mission Statement for 24/25

(Dated 1.09.24)

"The Palestine Solidarity Group is a student society based in the University of Leeds dedicated to fighting for a liberated Palestine and spreading awareness of Palestinian culture and identity. We are against apartheid, ethnic cleansing, genocide, and any and all forms of settler colonialism. We work with other student societies and outside organisations in offering a wide range of cultural events and political actions.

As we near the one year mark of ‘Israel’s’ genocidal campaign in Gaza, it is more crucial than ever that we unite under the cause of Palestinian emancipation. We welcome anyone who shares our principles of peace, freedom, and justice to join our movement, regardless of their nationality or creed."
